Review of Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017) by E T — 23 Dec 2017
Having finally seen this film (thank god), I can absolutely see what's irking fans so much. This movie is challenging. It challenges everything you know about Star Wars. It takes all the mythos, all the knowledge that you've ever been fed and throws it out the window.
And for some, it hurts. It hurts to see your main characters beaten to a bloody pulp. But for those more open minded and accepting of change, we couldn't be happier. The Last Jedi is more than just another Star Wars movie.
It's a revival. It's the next chapter in a book we've kept on the shelf. And for that, it just might be the best Star Wars movie we've gotten in the past 20 years. Yes. Even better than The Force Awakens.
Far better. And until I see the next movie, I'm calling this my third favorite Star Wars movie.
