This still stands up today even with all the SFX capabilities available there's been nothing to rival George Lucas' original sci-fi classic. What made the entire trilogy work so well was the depth of the characters, the simplisity of the storytelling and the strong narrative.

A universal tale of friendship, love and good vs. evil. Everyone can relate to the rebels plight with an array of well developed, loveable characters who we care about from the onset and that's without mentioning the awesome action sequences and special effects that still look spectacular 30 years later.
