Great movie about intergalactic perestroika that tied in well to the TNG episodes "Unification, parts 1 & 2" that were aired about 2 months before this movie was released. The friendship between Kirk and Spock has never seemed more genuine.

Uhura in a skirt is a bit much as are referring to a plasma exhaust vent as a "tailpipe", Valeris' uniform screw-up, & the pink Klingon blood, but the rest is great. Look for Michael Dorn playing TNG Worf's great grandfather Colonel Worf & keep it on hand the next time you see the Voyager episode "Flashback".
