Review of Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country (1991) by Brandon R — 20 Oct 2012
"The Cold War in Space" provides a not-often-seen insight into the political world of the Star Trek universe. Touching on racism and grief over past tragedies, the clear parallels between Starfleet and the United States and then the Klingons and the Soviet Union tell a great story.
In more ways than one, this really is the end of the original series. A peace treaty is signed and the Enterprise sails off into space. The final heroic actions of the original Enterprise crew set the stage for The Next Generation.
