Nick Meyer and Bennett reunite to make a movie to take the sour taste of the previous film out of everyone's mouths, (The Final Frontier). In this outing, they pull a Cold War parable where Kirk and McCoy are blamed for the killing of the Klingon chancellor after a state dinner with him aboard the new Enterprise, and Spock must try and rescue them.
