The swan song for the crew of the Starship Enterprise, Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country is a perfect allegory for the Cold War, set in the 23rd century and replacing the United States and the Soviet Union with the Federation and the Klingon Empire.
It features a compelling plot to sabotage the peace efforts by dissidents on both sides, a pitched battle to the save the diplomats, and has the heroes literally riding off into the sunset. A perfect ending for the perfect saga.
