Review of Star Trek V: The Final Frontier (1989) by Allan C — 13 Apr 2012
Weakest of all the Star Trek films. "The Wrath of Khan" was the best, true to the original series for Trek frans and action packet enough for a general audience. "The Voyage Home" is the second best, which went primarily for general audience appeal as a silly fish-out-of-water comedy, but it was funny and was algo true to the characters.
This film however, tries for broad comedy a bit too often and was just not funny or clever at was IV. The idea behind this film isn't bad for a Star Trek film, but the execution of the story is just a mess.
