Star Trek V was so bad that it nearly makes you cry. William Shatner should never ever direct a Star Trek film or even be allowed to even pitch an idea forward! Nimoy smashes Shatner when it comes to directing, so glad this was his only attempt at directing a Trek film otherwise the series might not have lasted beyond another film.

I hated the way the surrounding cast were used for only comic relief, Scotty was a waste of time as was Chekov, it nearly stuffed up what the previous movies had done.

Quite simply where Nimoy succeded, Shatner failed miserably. This film has no real story, no real villian, no humour (or very bad humour), it was predictable and totally irrelevant to the rest of the series. There was no development of characters and no explanation of backgrounds.

I can't describe how bad this film was, the only shining light was and always is Nimoy playing Spock!

20% - One of the worst movies I have seen, which is sad seeing I am such a Star Trek fan!
