Review of Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979) by Philip L — 12 Jul 2011
Really should have been called 'William Shatner - The Motion Picture' as there is rarely a scene without him soliloquising or ranting about something or other. The supporting case do their best, but compete with long, drawn-out scenes, clearly there to satisfy the people making the film.
A must-see for fans, but doesn't stand up well in its own right.
