Review of Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979) by Steve O — 14 Dec 2009

I've never seen any of the Star Trek movies so I've decided to watch them all...oldest to newest. I wasn't expecting much from this one considering it was released in 1979...and it's a good thing I didn't expect much.

I watched a fair share of the TV episodes as a kid and I don't think this movie came close to being as entertaining as the TV show.

I'm hoping that the later movies will get better. If nothing else I know that the special effects will get better with each subsequent movie...cuz the special effects in this one (watching it in 2009) were laughable.
