Review of Star Trek: Nemesis (2002) by Mark P — 12 Jan 2009
Not terrible...Certainly better than Insurrection.
However, it's terribly hobbled by trying to match every dramatic beat with Wrath of Khan. Picard isn't Kirk, and lacks the Horatio Hornblower man of action feel. The TV series managed to accept that and hammer out it's own identity. Why, then do the TNG films continue to try remake Picard as some sort of Kirk-lite?
And the dune buggy crap? I was suddenly embarrassed to be in a theatre watching Star Trek.
