Review of Star Trek: Nemesis (2002) by Burt M — 05 Jun 2008
When I watch a Star Trek movie, I want to be dazzled, I want my socks blown off. The bar was set high with First Contact, yet Insurrection was a dud. This film is merely satisfactory, a very workman-like film that does impress with its battle sequences, yet nothing else stands out here.
The plot is wonky, the dialogue forgettable, and the performances lacking spark or imagination. An enjoyable movie yet didn't blow me away, entertained yet could have been something more than the sum of its parts.
