Star Trek II was quite entertaining but is a movie you will likely never see again. Basically a carbon copy of the original, down to exact scenes and actions, Star Trek II fails to capitalize on Cumberbatch's significant talent and presence and instead delivers what is essentially two hours of mindless sci-fi action, interspersed by what is arguably the worst instance in the history of shameless nude scenes.
Suspend disbelief and prepare for lens flare as Abrams pumps out what is just a cut and chopped version of the first movie.
