Review of Star Trek Into Darkness (2013) by Tyler S — 25 Jul 2016
A good entry with a classic villain and good acting make this movie on par with the first. It doesn't have the emotion of the first film, nor is it as good. This movie however was close to being as good as the first. The movie takes place in different settings, and the story I thought was really well exectued. It was cool to see Captain Kirk evolving from the first film. While still cocky and confident, he shows more leadership. Quinto stands out here as a calm and precise Spock. You can tell he cares about the role. JJ Abrams continues to have the perfect blend of story and action along with precise tension that really makes the viewer locked in.
That's what I can say about this film. Continuously locked in.
A good ending, along with a vintage Kahn make this film a must see.
