Review of Star Trek: Insurrection (1998) by Brian S — 09 Aug 2010
The plot fits the traditional Star Trek mold pretty well, and the end result is understandably entertaining. the writing isn't outstanding--character development is minimal, the humour regresses to being campy and forced, and the overall "adventure factor" is lacking in cinematic oomph.
several reviews and critics have states this film is like an extra-long episode of the TV show, and that's about the best assessment I can think to make as well.
