Review of Star Trek: Insurrection (1998) by Adam C — 22 Feb 2009
Not as bad as I had initially thought. The old themes and action are persistent throughout this feature. We are treated to a great villain team-up played by F. Murray Abraham ('Scarface', 'Amadeus') and Anthony Zerbe ('The Omega Man', 'License to Kill').
Sure, there are really awful bits, but the good parts more than make up for it. Watch F. Murray Abraham fight Patrick Stewart while striking poses and shooting a phaser gun. Overall, a mismatched Trek movie that more or less has the feel of a two-parter Next Generation episode.
