Review of Star Trek III: The Search for Spock (1984) by Brendan O — 15 Jan 2009
The whole Star Trek movie curse, lot of BS. The Search for Spock isn't one of the best in the franchise, but very watchable and actually better then some of the even-numbered ones (Nemesis and Undiscovered Country blows).
Star Trek III does suffer from it's fair share of flaws; very weak, unengaging 1st act, Christopher Lloyd was unused, a shame as he's a total badass here and mostly, it have the misfortune of following Wrath of Khan, the best star trek film yet, so yeah, it's going look like crap by comparison.
But still a competent and very enjoyable Star Trek installment.
