Review of Star Trek: First Contact (1996) by Mike A — 29 Nov 2009
I went to see this film expecting to be hiding behind my hands.
The Borg on the big screen should have been a truly terrifying prospect..
Alas I found them to be toothless and less of a credible enemy than in "Best of both worlds". The Borg queen humanised them and their goals. Once an enemy is understandable they are less of a credible monster.
On the positive side the characterisation of Zefram Cochrane was a delight.
