Review of Star Trek: First Contact (1996) by Reshane F — 23 Jul 2009
This is easily the best of the movies with the Next Generation cast. Picard and his crew travel back in time to stop the borg from stopping Earth's "first contact" with aliens. I'm not gonna lie: the borg scared the CRAP out of me.
They're even scarier in this movie than in "The Best of Both Worlds," the Next Generation episode in which they were first seen. Special credit should go James Cromwell as Zephram Cochran.
Remember, he did this movie not too long after "Babe" and he couldn't possibly have chosen any two more different character. An exciting story along with a wonderful score by Jerry Goldsmith make this one of the best of the Trek movies.
