Review of Star Trek: First Contact (1996) by David M — 01 Feb 2015
The first Trek film to concentrate mainly on The Next Generation crew ('Generations' also had a rather tubby Shatner), with the Borg providing the big bad this time round, and with the film utilising that good old time-travel sci-fi trope!
This is actually one of the better (if not the best) TNG films, and is also one of only two Trek films that can be tied in directly to events on the TV show (specifically the Locotus of Borg episodes), with 'Wrath of Khan' being the other (also one of, if not the, best in the entire canon). Perhaps that is what is missing from most of the other films?
