Upon a second viewing I enjoyed this better. I've come to notice how great the movie really is with how the characters are actually true to themselves unlike in Into Darkness where they shove references galore, stupid character decisions and other dumb things.

This was truely a good Star Trek movie and I've grown to respect it. Does the villain still suck? Yes. Does the Beastie Boy "Sabatoge" moment still feel out of place and stupid? Of course.

But overall the action is well done, the camera work was pretty good except they like to twist the camera around a little too much. But it's got impressive action and is a good entry to the franchise and shows character growth and progression which is great.
