The Enterprise's new adventure gets the essence and impression of the franchise even if not the greatest plot. Lin's take on Star Trek is familiar and less daring than Abrams' but still very entertaining thanks to the cast, who performed impeccably as always and the visual effects which were phenomenal.
No matter its miner flaws, Star Trek Beyond is a wonderful sci-fi movie for all the fans to enjoy.
