Review of Star Trek Beyond (2016) by Benjithewalrus — 21 Jul 2016

A masterpiece that not only used source material properly from shows like Enterprise and TOS, but also gave the feeling of an actual Star Trek experience! The action was not just flashy and explosions, it was used very well to advance the plot.

My favorite part was the callbacks to Enterprise with the USS Franklin descriptions. Also, when the Excelsior (possibly) was built at the end with a time lapse construction. All-in-all, a movie that comes closer to Gene Roddenberry's vision of exploring space, while also exploring what it means to be human.
