Review of Star Trek Beyond (2016) by Marc5477 — 01 Oct 2016
A hollow movie that would have been more fitting as a filler episode in a TV series rather than a feature movie. The biggest problem was lack of character development for the antagonist and support cast.
On top of that, the results of the movie have no impact on anything. This is why it felt like a filler episode. The drive behind the plot is some guy went nuts from loneliness. You can fill in the rest with just that one sentence.
Its very predictable and not thought out at all. Another sign its a bad movie is the existence of a lovely alien female in tight clothes to help distract you so you don't notice just how bad the movie is.
When she was not on screen, there was just mindless action and by mindless I mean it was so unmemorable that I cant even remember any of it.
