I really enjoyed watching "Star Trek Beyond." It truly captured the spirit of the original Star Trek series and the cast has finally made this franchise their own. Much of this is due to someone with actual 'love' for the franchise directly and co-writing the script (I refer to Simon Pegg's awesome writing skills).
May J.J. Abrams 'live long and prosper' with his true love--Star Wars--and leave the Star Trek films to people who really care.
