Review of Standard Operating Procedure (2013) by Dave C — 19 Oct 2008
Another interesting documentary from Errol Morris. This movie focuses more on the individuals behind the controversial pictures taken at Abu Ghraib and the specific events occurring before and after, in lieu of discussing the political backdrop and events that lead to the well-documented 'interrogation techniques' (the latter much more covered in "Taxi to the Dark Side").
For those whom haven't seen Dark Side, you probably will be left dissatisfied wanting to hear more about the individuals responsible for handing down the orders, but it is interesting to learn more about what in fact was going on outside of the frames.
For best results, rent both and watch sequentially.
