Review of Standard Operating Procedure (2008) by Doug C — 08 Dec 2008
This documentary adds some perspective to the other Abu Ghraib documentaries that have been made, but isn't quite as focused or insightful. It focuses a bit more on the individual officers charged with the abuses than with the military command questions, but some of the justifications given by the accused officers are stunningly hollow.
I can't tell if the filmmaker buys the justifications or not.
