Review of Standard Operating Procedure (2008) by Robert M — 18 Dec 2008
Very disturbing. As I watched it, I kept thinking about how being a torturer creates extreme mental distress. Don't get me wrong: it's worse being tortured, and it's not an excuse. But all of the people in the movie had misery blazing out of their eyes.
And the film certainly made one want to see higher government officials sitting at a defense table in a courtroom somewhere. (The recent report by the Senate Armed Forces Committee elicits the same desire.
