Review of Stand Up Guys (2012) by Monique Y — 08 Jan 2014

Although there is nothing special, magnificent or mind blowing in this movie, I really enjoyed their portrayal of best pal's nostalgia for each other and how they played my own nostalgia while enjoying one more of their effortless performances thinking that, perhaps, this would be one of their lasts.

I noticed I was smiling all the way through this movie, not laughing,,, not giggling... softly smiling all the way! True friends getting certain that they are riskily getting close to their end and deciding to go for one more ride ... showing affection and not feeling ashamed of it, mortifying about the slim possibility of having to be disloyal for the first time and begging to life for a chance to spare that moment from them. In the end, it's about choosing the only possible way... unconditional love till dead do them part!

My kind of movie! May there is always one more NOLA before I part!
