Review of Stand by Me (1986) by Chris F — 30 Dec 2013
I finally watched this film fully for the first time and I was blown away on how great it is. Rob Reiner did an amazing job in putting this film together, from the cinematography and music to the performances from all 4 leads.
All 4 actors do an amazing job especially for how old they all were at the time. The standout performance is River Phoenix, he controls any scene that has his character talking, Corey Feldman does another great job playing a disturbed lonely teen.
Will Wheaton and Jerry O' Connell do admirable jobs as well. Overall, this was a great entertaining film and is now one of my all time favorites.
