One of the greatest coming-of-age stories ever told on the big screen. Compassionate scenes of close friendship, hardships of growing adolescence, facing fears in the presence of danger, and the simple yet gripping showcasing of having to grow up too young in a world of obstacles.
Powerful performances, a touching score, and a general warmth boost this film's levels highly. Certainly not to be overlooked.
