Review of Stand by Me (1986) by Richard D — 02 Nov 2014
One of the best coming of age stories there is. And probably one of the best book to screen adaptations. Almost everything from the short story is in here, and it is very well written. The kids act like kids. They laugh, cry and tease each other.
It's R rated for language. And like the film 'The Breakfast Club' it's used appropriately to where they sound like real people.
This should be seen by young boys everywhere.
