Review of Stand by Me (1986) by Brandon F — 01 Jun 2018
The movie that made River Phoenix a star. An absolute classic. It has that special quality of no matter how many times you watch it it's still good. The chemistry between the characters, the engaging story line and that feel of being young bring out the magic in this film.
Next to Shawshank it's the best Stephen King adaptation out there and interestingly enough they are both short stories from the same book, Different Seasons.
