My personal favorite film of all time. Stand By Me is a film of growing up and realizing the harsh realities that really exist in this world we live in. River Phoenix is the true star in this film and turns in a performance for the ages.
That young man would of done wonders if it was not for that tragic halloween night in 1993. Rob Reiner's direction in this movie is very well done. He blends humor, drama, suspense, and pure sadness in this well filmed movie.
