Review of Stand and Deliver (1998) by Jason R — 07 Jul 2008

Exclude the fact it has some low production value and u can see a diamond in this rough of a film. It's a charmer, no doubt about it, and it spawned many films after it till this day. There's something so inspiring about movies like this which tell a story of trials and tribulations through high school, and showing us how one can persevere through those hard times.

A movie such as this can be overdone at some point, and u begin to root against the underdogs because u know they're probably going to make it through anyways or else the producers would have never made the movie, but if ur not as cynical as that and can find love for a film like this, then by all means do so.
