Does it get more American than this? The individual is right and the stupid masses suck is the basic theme of the movie. Oh and everyone is bad. Basically, it's stuff you can get behind and it's a comedy.
So don't worry, you don't have to think about the message or WW2 while watching it. You lazy idiot.
