There's something I can't totally put my finger on that makes a strange aesthetic: perhaps a combination of the music, the run-down badlands of today's USA, the "walk the Appalachian Trail with zombies" feel.
Oddly, I appreciated it because I'm a trailrunner, not because I especially like vampire or zombie films.
