Review of Stake Land (2010) by William James S — 22 Jul 2017

This vampire horror film set in a post apocalyptic world was released around the time of Twilight and unlike those polished and stupid films this film is suitably grim, harsh, gory and rather down beat.

It is also a decent cast, it looks great, the action is solid, has a good score and the plot is engrossing. The atmosphere and general tone of this film however sets it apart from the more mainstream vampire fair and literally anyone is fair game for being killed off.
