Those were some scary ass vampires. They reminded me more of zombies than vamps though except for the fangs. Definitely a bleak situation. I was reminded somewhat of The Road, but this wasnt nearly as bleak.
The cinematography, acting, and effects (no CGI thank god) were all great, especially for a lower budget movie. I had a few problems with the believability, but it wasnt enough of a problem to make this movie that much less enjoyable.
