Review of Stake Land (2010) by Sean O — 09 Aug 2012

Loved this film. Cast was perfect, performances were excellent and I think the sound track was beautifully done. Of course the post apocalyptic thing has been done to death but this is one of the best I've seen.

A couple of my friends didn't like Stake Land as much as Zombieland. Reasons? Because it was too real, no character is really safe and people you expect to survive die. Children aren't even safe.

There's nothing cheery about this movie, it's heavy and upsetting at times. That's why I loved it, it really feels like it's the end of the world. Watch it if you get the chance, top film.
