Review of Stagecoach (1939) by Tom B — 19 Jun 2007
This is one of JOhn Wayne's best early films. The movie is good because after watching it you realize that the stagecoach is little more than a setting to bring together different elements of society and show them interacting.
The stagecoach is a microcosm of society with criminals, and bankers, prostitutes, and gentle ladies all thrown together as they try to survive the Indians on the warpath.
