Review of Stagecoach (1939) by Patrick B — 07 Jan 2008
John Ford's first movie with John Wayne is among either's best. Characters with surprising depth (Westerns, although I love them, tend to rely on archetypes) must learn to work together to get a stagecoach from point A to point B.
This MacGuffin leads to one of the most truly exciting climaxes I have ever seen in a film. Modern action flicks could learn a thing or two from this film.
