Review of St. Elmo's Fire (1985) by Alejandro S — 04 Jun 2010
Emilio Estevez plays a disturbingly creepy stalker (who's victim is obliviously flattered by the obsessive attention). Rob Lowe's character tries to rape a coked-up Demi Moore in front of his wife and baby.
Brooding obituary writer Andrew McCarthy, lifeless Ally Sheedy, and Judd Nelson find themselves in a zany love triangle. A melodramatic farce that, like most films from the 1980s, has aged horribly.
