Review of Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over (2003) by Paul A — 23 Jan 2008
All you need is family, and everyone can be family, including the people who tried to kill your family.
Rodriguez must be the most forgiving man, and has clearly forgiven Stallone for his comedy roles as he's seen fit to cast him here, no doubt for his name more than anything else as he really isn't up to this at all.
Rodriguez's greatest skill has always been stretching budgets, not actors, and sadly Spy Kids 3-D sees the trilogy limp to an end.
Kids (probably boys) may get a bit of a kick out of the computers games theme, but it's all eposodic colour and flash and Daryl Sabara can't carry the film for half that Vega is missing.
