Review of Spy Game (2001) by Sébastien L — 24 Nov 2008
This makes for an entertaining story, and the back-plot aspects of Robert Redford and Brad Pitt's various previous operations together are reasonably believable and well told. That Redford appears to remain the same age throughout, whether the date is 1976 or the late 90s is a bit dodgy, but perhaps he didn't want to spend most of each filming day being rendered with polyfilla.
However, when we get to "present day", then credulity does get stretched. The concept as to even a covert US helicopter assault on a prison in somewhere as sensitive and powerful as China being illicitly set up, authorised and completed without anyone querying the order at least once is a bit much.
