Review of Spring (2014) by Paul C — 12 Jul 2015
OK. this is not a horror flick, it is barely in the same neighborhood with one of the distant horror cousins. However, this is not say "Spring" is bad, because it isn't. It is engaging, intriguing and it kinda defies many of the cliches being used nowadays.
On the downside, "Spring" could have been more and better and its director could have chosen a better ending. But since that ending is not atrociously bad(like it was for "Nymphomaniac" or "Snowpiercer"), it doesn't really matter all that much. Besides, "Spring" is not the kind of film to work with a formal ending either. So, maybe, something vague is exactly what it needed.
My two cents: 4 out of 5.
