The director writer team could have done more to build up and develop the Evan character and thus, the impetus for Louise's attraction to him. Louise on the other hand is a brilliantly molded character from script to performance.
His acting is transparent and natural as any top young Hollywood brat out there, his character just didn't have much depth. I will say they did a lot with very low production values and exotic locales.
Some creepy AF effects. Well worth watching, if flawed.
