Review of Spread (2009) by Stewart F — 06 May 2010
Very shallow film. Ashton Kutcher's character is so unsympathetic that you just don't care what happens to him. There is very little character development or "growth", and what there is, is so crudely telegraphed - you are repeatedly hammered with various characters telling Kutcher how awful he is. The "storyline" really plods along, and the dialogue is very weak.
Basically, what was the point of this movie, other than to let Ashton Kutcher grope a lot of pretty actresses?
