Review of Spotlight (2015) by Fong K — 21 May 2016
This year Oscar's Best Picture winner is a journalism movie that deals with its very controversial topic with palpable earnestness and moral urgency, sans sensation. The ensemble cast's sublime performances and Tom McCarthy's sure-handed direction keep the movie solidly grounded.
The result is a timeless classic alongside ALL THE PRESIDENT'S MEN (1976).
