Review of Spotlight (2015) by James H — 04 Mar 2017
Spotlight is a terrific film that can help make the world a better place. Everyone (of a certain age) should see this film so it can raise awareness of the disgusting acts that have taken place over, not just America, but the world.
The direction is subtle but brilliant and score builds it up masterfully. The cast all give focused and complex performances that offer depth to the character they are playing. Michael Keaton continues with his revitalisation, Mark Ruffalo gives one of his best performances and Rachael McAdams has an incredibly natural likability in this film that it is difficult to take your eyes off of her.
The thought that this has actually happened shakes me to me very chore and will make most viewers' stomach churn.
